I have just been over to New England to catch some Sox games, but I also go an visit one of my favorite local teams, the Newport Gulls in Newport, RI. Funny thing is, we somehow managed to land ourselves in the Irish stand. The new influx of about 80 Irish people in their 20s have made the Gulls games their nightly outing. It was so fantastic to be amongst such a lively crowd. Most of them were part of one group, about 15 to a house all from Dublin. They've been going to the pub after the games with the players and so had invented chants for each player. It was such an improvement to the normal crowd who are usually there. I think I might write an article about them actually. Great stuff...Marek T.
