Schilling no-no? No.

So close so very very close. In the 425th start of his amazing career Schilling almost put together a no hitter except for Shannon Stewart's line drive single with two out in the ninth inning. Schilling pitched masterfully and when required the Boston defence backed him up. Coco Crisp made a superb catch in the 6th and Mike Lowell never panicked and got the out on a tough grounder in the 7th.

So close, so damn close. However, hey, I guess the win will do.

If Lugo did not make that error, Schill would not have faced Stewart. But a win is a win. All of us in Red Sox Nation are happy to see the W. On to the National League, Lets kill the DB's !!!! I hope Brendan Bergerson gets picked up by Dewey and the Sox. Tim www.menuhub.com/irishmusic.htm

Big time win by Schill, even if he didn't get the no-no...
