'Surviving Grady' has become one of my first stops for Sox news on a daily basis. Irreverent, funny, enjoyable and missing that stagnant 'sky is falling' ethos you get on allot of online Red Sox media entities.
Anyway, long story short, they have a great nickname for Josh Beckett. They call him ''Commander Kick Ass of the F#%k Yeah Brigade''.
Beckett certainly earned that colourful title last night, with a stifling, 8 strikeout performance against the Orioles in last night's 6-2 Red Sox win. Who would have thought, in the offseason, that Beckett would basically stay under the radar and put up these statistics in basically taking the mantle of 'Red Sox ace' and making it his.
He's 26, getting better every time out and in Boston for a long, long time.
