Irish Baseball Championship Playoffs

The playoffs are upon us. What's happened so far? Let's catch up.

The Spartans made the final by beating the Hurricanes in game one. The Greystones Mariners snuck past the Blacksox for the right to face the Hurricanes with the winner going to the final. The Hurricanes got their bats working and slugged their way past the fiesty Mariners to set up a Irish Baseball Championship best of three final against the Spartans.

Game one went to the Hurricanes 6-5, with the 'Canes coming back from 5-1 down to win an exciting, fiery game. Game two was another tight affair with the Spartans holding on to win 7-5. What all that means of course is this Saturday the 22nd the Hurricanes take on the Spartans in the deciding game of the 2007 Irish Baseball Championship. 11am The O'Malley field at Corcaigh Park. Click here for details on how to get to the fields.

The final of the 'B' league, between the Hurricanes B and Mariners B will wrap the season up at 2pm, same location.
