Monday's Irish baseball league update

Irish baseball league
Results Weekend 14th June
  • Black Sox 12 - 6 Spartans (Spartans first loss of the season)
  • Hurricanes 5 - 10 Indios

There are now only two losses between the top three teams as they fight it out for the first and second spots in the playoffs. Next Sundays game between the Canes and the Sox will be a crucial clash between the second and third teams in the league. The Sox are coming off a four game winning streak including three dominant performances by their start Niall Rowan. The Hurricanes will be keen to get back on track after their slip up last weekend and hold onto second spot. The Blacksox will be buoyed by their first win over the Spartans since 1943.

The other games this weekend are;
A double header in Clondalkin between the Spartans and the The North Stars, Saturday. And the Mariners host the Indios for two games on Saturday in Shanganagh.
