Ireland lost to the Greek national team today and are thus out of the European Pool B Championships. The Irish pitching staff kept them in a close game against the unbeaten Greeks by striking out a phenomenal 16 Greek batters.

Nat Anglin absolutely obliterated the Greeks - striking out five of the six batters the big kid from Boston faced.

With the tournament now over for the Irish, congratulations to them on playing three very tight games, three games they could definitely have won with a little bit of luck. Particular tip of the cap to Jason Hoye, who bashed three home runs and batted an amazing .545 for the tournament.
