Normal service resumed for Dublin Hurricanes

Hurricanes 16 Indios 0

The Hurricanes got the second half of their Irish league season up and running with a crushing 16-0 win over the Indios at the O'Malley Field in Corcaigh Park. With only six games left in the regular season the sense of urgency showed as the Hurricanes blasted to an early lead and never looked back. Captain Steve Divito, CF Tommy Hernandez and 2B Eric Valkys all had big knocks as the Hurricanes scored early and often moving their 2008 record to 6-3. The 'Canes welcomed back Chris Foy to the lineup and his veteran presence helped produce a balanced lineup that exploded for their 08' league high in runs.

Meanwhile, in the 'B' league..

The Hurricanes 'B', the B-league leading 'Baby Canes', were given a walk-over win by the Spartans 'B', who could not field a team. The Baby Canes are unbeaten and cruising in the Irish B league.
