Week 14 NFL picks and other assorted noise

Got off to a good start with the old Week 14 NFL picks last night. The Broncos made easy work of the Raiders and covered the 10 points. Perhaps way more importantly late season pick up Knowshon Moreno got my NFL fantasy football team, The Tusken Raiders, off to a flying start in our playoffs, with over 30 points on his own. Atta boy Knowshon! Here's a quick peek at what I have been up to this week in the World of freelance sports journalism.

  • Let's get started with the newest piece on the market, this weeks 'Word On The Tweet' I wrote for BetDash. Kind of a manic look into the world of footballing Tweets, with a heavy slant on this weekend's Manchester derby.
  • Then of course there is the afore mentioned NFL picks, for week 14, published on the BetDash blog.
  • Don't know if you saw my Irish Central piece on the 49ers QB situation from last week, however, after their loss to the Rams, it looks pretty clever!
  • Never thought I would come out in defence of Bob Costas and Jason Whitlock, however, it happened, in this piece again on Irish Central. Oddly enough, the angry-right didn't descend on it as has happened previously. Maybe the storm is still brewing.
  • Finally, a pretty cool little story, also on Irish Central, about Texans all round nice guy Andre Johnson who brought a dozen kids shopping for Christmas, and is OK in my book.

Have a great weekend all ya'll
Mac
