Irish baseball season over

Many congratulations to the Dublin Spartans who won the 2007 Irish baseball championship by beating the Hurricanes 2-1 in the series finalé.

The Hurricanes 'B' squad lost an enthralling B level final 10-11 against the Greystones Mariners. The 'Baby Canes' were 11-1 down at one stage, but fought back mightily only to fall just short at the final hurdle.

And just like that...2007 is done.
